A Summer Field Trip

We left K-West today to join friends for a field trip to the Branson Airport. It was a fun excursion, but a bit exhausting trying to keep eleven kiddos quiet, orderly and in the right place. We had a great tour guide who let us visit so many different areas of the airport. It was like having an all-access pass.

This was a fun part of the tour. We were able to see the Branson Airport fire trucks and firefighters uniforms. The whole gang - ten boys and one girl. OK, two if you count the one I am carrying.

That is the extent of my pictures, but it certainly doesn't tell the whole story. We also got to visit the control room where they monitor incoming and outgoing flights as well as no fly zones throughout the country, we toured the private lounge where pilots and owners of private jets check in and out of, the Branson Airport hangar, the security office, the back room where luggage goes to be screened by the TSA, and we got to learn about landing protocol while on the runway. It was a great experience for everybody. Thanks Janna for setting this up!
