Ronald Reagan Presidential Library

We stumbled across the Reagan Presidential Library while in Simi Valley, CA. Literally! We saw a sign for the library as we drove down the freeway so we decided to check it out. We had time to spare so we spent a couple of hours learning about President Reagan. This library has some amazing stuff!

Here we are sitting out front. Why are we wearing different clothes than the next three pictures? This was the first day that we discovered the Reagan Presidential Library. We didn't have time to stay this day, but fit it into our schedule for the next day.

In front of Air Force One. Yes, the real Air Force One that went into service beginning with President Nixon and carried 7 Presidents. Amazing! They had to take the wings off the plane to get it up to the Library and into this hangar, then put it back together. We got to walk through the whole plane. Did you know that the new Air Force One is 3x bigger than this one? I found the entire tour fascinating.

An actual piece of the Berlin Wall. "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!" This is home school at its finest! I love moments like this with my kids.

An exact replica of President Reagan's Oval Office at the end of his term.

A scale model of the White House. It was amazing to see the attention to detail in each of the rooms.
