A trip to Texas

We made our way to Texas this weekend for a Kanakuk reunion and to visit Todd's family. I just tried to upload the pictures from this weekend and my computer tells me that I have insufficient disc space. Rats! I don't know enough about this computer to know what to do so that I can get more disc space. Anyway, it was a fun weekend. We met some of our Kanakuk staff in Dallas on Friday night. No set agenda, but we had dinner, socialized and loved on K-West staff. Carter went with us to the reunion. He partied hard - unlimited snacks, hanging with BFF Allison Beene, playing freeze tag, etc. At the end of the evening he fell asleep, face down, wearing his backpack on a couch at the church.

Then on Saturday, Todd had the chance to take three of our boys to the TCU football game in Fort Worth. Thanks to Uncle David for the tickets. This was a first time experience for our boys and they really enjoyed the afternoon. Lots of stuff to see, free food and the pageantry of a football game. Here are the boys at the top of the stadium.

Saturday night we celebrated Grandad's birthday. It was fun to gather with most of the Rapp family to have dinner and birthday cake. Too bad Tommy was on call that night and had to leave his own birthday party to go check on a patient.

Now it is Sunday night and we are glad to be home. We head back to Texas later in October to meet with families interested in Kanakuk and to interview potential staff.
