Labor Day weekend

We headed out again this weekend on a family adventure. We have certainly spent a lot of time in the car over the last three weeks. This weekend we drove to Western Kansas for a cousin's wedding. We left Friday morning and made our way to Wichita, KS where we spent the night with Austin and Danielle Ochs. What a fun visit! Austin and Danielle took us out to the Ochs' farm where we had the chance to ride 4-wheelers and try out the silo zipline. Oh man, the boys loved this! The minute they saw those four 4-wheelers, each of the boys jumped on one. We cruised all over the farm, through the woods, over the creek area. Thank you Austin and Danielle.

On Saturday we left Wichita and drove to Hays, KS for Cody Schields' wedding. The boys looked so cute all dressed up. Oops, no picture though. Our boys were troopers through a long wedding and reception. This event was really fun for me to see family members that I had not seen in about five years. Todd was "super-husband" as he entertained the boys so that I could talk to aunts, uncles, cousins and Goodland friends at the wedding.

On the last day of our trip, we stopped in Lawrence, KS to see my alma mater...the University of Kansas. We went by the Chi Omega house, walked around on campus, visited the football stadium and had lunch with some K-West friends. Before leaving town we stopped in a Jocks Nitch to pick up some KU gear. All the boys came home with a new t-shirt or shorts. You know we needed some KU stuff...they have plenty of items adorned with the Texas Longhorn.
