The World of Coke

On Sunday, we spent the whole day in Atlanta exploring the Georgia Aquarium and the World of Coke with our cousins, the Blake family. This was really fun. Now, I am quite fond of a Coca-Cola...and so are my boys, so this was a highlight! (Mary Kay, I kept thinking of you during this excursion.) The World of Coke was such a cool place. As you tour the building you learn about the history of Coke, their advertising, see lots of old Coca-Cola merchandise and collectibles, and even watch a 4-D movie about "The Secret Formula" of Coca-Cola. But the best part is the tasting room. Todd aptly described this room as a "cornucopia of carbonation." The tasting room is where you can sample (without limit) as many of the 60+ beverages that Coca-Cola produces and sells all over the world. Each of the tasting stations is labeled with the continent where those beverages are sold and then specifically the company. For example, I tasted "Bitter Lemon" from England. Interesting! Plus they have a station where you can create your own sode - choose any beverage and mix it with another. The boys loved this place. Colton was running wildly from soda machine to soda machine and doing this crazy little dance. Too much caffeine? Perhaps!
As you leave World of Coke, you get to take a souvenir glass bottle of Coke that was bottled while you were on the tour. We have all 6 of our ours and I'm thinking we will keep them rather than drink them.
