The Fort Worth Museum

While in Fort Worth, we took the boys to the new Fort Worth Museum. It was so nice and they had so many great activities for the boys. We stayed almost 3 hours (left due to hunger), but probably could have played all day. One funny part - the museum has this 4D show called Energy Blast. Well, the show begins with the narrator saying something like this..."to begin our journey we have to go 300 billion years back in time to when there was nothing....then we fast forward 1 billion years to this giant explosion...look there's the Milky Way." It went on to talk about how the earth was formed, but it was too hot to sustain life so it had to cool down for X million years. Ugh! As soon as we could get out the door Todd and I grabbed the boys and started talking about how contrary that show was to the Bible. Yes, we probably should have asked about the show before we went in, but it was a great chance to contrast Creation with this big bang theory they were promoting. We always want to point our boys back to God and the truth of the Bible when society/ culture tries to teach just the opposite.

It was a fun day and I'm sure we will be headed back to the museum next time we are in Fort Worth.
