Hunter's Story

Last week in our home school lessons, Hunter had to write a story based on characters he created. He worked on this story for two days and I thought it was delightful! (Of course, as teacher and mom, I can be a little biased.) The characters, plot and word choice are all Hunter! The only thing I helped with was the spelling for some of the more difficult words. With his permission, I wanted to share it on the blog.

There was a gingerbread man named George. He was watching TV. He was watching the news. He had frosting eyes and buttons. On TV there was a bad guy that had broken out of jail. George leaped into action! He turned into Captain Candy! He rushed to the bank. There was Evil Dr. Vegetable. For George the battle had just begun. George shot candy out of his hands. Evil Dr. Vegetable dodged the candy. He shot it again and again. Suddenly George realized that he had to be clever. George shot his candy at the wall of the bank. It bounced off the wall, it bounced off a wall again and again and it shot at Evil Dr. Vegetable. It got him! George used a lollipop as a sword. Evil Dr. Vegetable used broccoli as a shield. George used licorice to wrap him up. He took the money back to the bank and the bad guy back to jail. The End.
