Each year, the father/son canoe trip is a highlight for our boys. This year, Hunter and Connor went and it was probably the best ever for our boys. We start the trip with a stop at the Harrison, AR Dairy Queen. If that's all we did, our trip would be a success. Our kids find it such a treat. We had lots of rain, but it only helped the river's water level to provide our most fun canoe trip to date.

Hunter, Connor, Hayden, Cole, and Todd heard there were some caves near our campsite, so we went on an adventure in search of the caves. We didn't find the caves, but we found some great cliffs beside a stream.

At the end of the canoe trip, a highlight for the boys was taking the canoes out by themselves!

Every moment was time well spent. Boys being boys. Good friends, meat, junk food, dirt, meat, bb guns, late night capture the flag, meat, and sleeping in the great outdoors. No tv, music, video games, bedtime, handwashing, baths, or brushing teeth. Hanging out with no interruptions and lots of opportunities for adventure with dad and friends. We are thankful for the chance to do this each year... and for the next 8 years or so to come!
