Beware of cabin 560!

We are at Big Cedar this week enjoying a few days of family time.  My sister Brea, her husband Chris and daughter Finley are also with us.  We have had a great time, but have been laughing at how all that has gone awry.  Let me just give you an idea of what has been going on.  All of these things took place in the first 24 hours of our stay.  

1.  Just a few minutes after arriving, Finley headed straight toward the edge of a sharp drop-off outside our cabin.

2.  Colton moved the fire grate away from the fireplace in the main lobby.  Oops, it was the Big Cedar employees and not mom or dad that caught him in the act.

3.  Two separate maintenance trips to our cabin - the first, to fix a dimmer switch and the second, a request to fix the internet connection.

4.  Phone calls to guest services, hang ups due to little fingers!

5.  Connor dialed 911, 911, 911 over and over.  Had to call the operator and assure her that we had no emergency.

6.  Colton dropped our room key down the vent in the main lobby - had to request another key.

7.  Finley locked herself in a bathroom - 2 calls to maintenance finally brought a person who could unlock the door.  While we pushed books, blanket, toys under the door and tried to keep Finley calm.

Ok, this one didn't happen in the first 24 hours - but it deserved being on the list.

8.  Connor dropped a glass cup and shattered it all over the bathroom floor.

Last night I was laughing at all that had gone wrong.  We've joked that the Big Cedar employees must be warning one another, "Beware of Cabin 560!"  Luckily we check out tomorrow.  It has been fun though.
