A Trip to Texas

We just returned from our trip to Texas. Todd helped with several Kanakuk events in Ft. Worth, Houston and Dallas while the boys and I stayed with Todd's parents. We always love being in Texas. The boys had a great time.

Here are the three big boys at the Shriner's Circus! A friend gave us free tickets and let me tell you, the show was great! Hunter even described it as "breathtaking!"

A real three-ring Circus!

The guys on the high wire. They made me nervous - fell a couple of times, but caught themselves on the wire. Wow! Ok, now to some cute pictures of the boys I took one night after dinner. We were out on the back porch at Grandad and Lila's house.

Eating Popsicles at Lila's house. Carter and Connor are chilling! While nearby...

Hunter was riding his bike. This is his favorite activity! He can't get enough. In fact, we were out running errands the other day and Hunter said, "Mom, can we go home now? I'm tired of going to stores. I need a bike rest." Isn't that funny?

And finally, Mr. Colton! His shirt was pretty covered in popsicle juice, but he was happy to be on the swing with Grandad. (you can only see Grandad's arm!)

On a side note, Todd's mom has been ill - her heart just hasn't been beating correctly for quite some time now. About a month ago she had surgery to try and fix her heart rhythm. There have been several complications since the surgery, but today as we drove home we found out that Lila had had a stroke. As of now she cannot speak and has some paralysis on one side of her face, but we don't know how permanent it is. We are all praying for Lila and would appreciate your prayers also.
